Hypoglycemia:
Hypoglycemia is a sudden drop in the level of blood sugar.
Glycemia (sugar) is the main source of energy for the body.
Teacups and Toys are prone to Hypoglycemia becouse of
their tiny size they have no reserve.
Symptons of Hypoglycemia: lethargic, weakness, confusion, shivering, vomiting or drooling, comatose/unresponsive
and seizures.
Hypoglycemia oftenn occurs without warning from many
different causes: stress, too hot, too cold, lack of food
or water, handled too much, too much activity.
To help prevent hypoglycemia make sure your puppy had
food and wter available at all times. Give tiny puppies a
little nutra col or dyne twice a day to help keep their sugar
levil up. Honey or karo syrup can also be used to help keep
sugar level up. Have nutra cal or dyne on hand for immediate response if puppy should have a sudden drop in sugar levels.
